Description

SunPass Metal Strip for Spiral Wound Gaskets (SWG) is available in a variety of profiles to meet diverse sealing requirements, including V shape, W shape, and flat shape. These metal strips are engineered to provide structural integrity and durability to the gaskets they are used in. The flat metallic tape is particularly versatile, as it can be utilized not only for standard SWG but also for double jacketed gaskets, which require an additional layer of protection, and for creating eyelets in gaskets, which facilitate installation and removal. The metal strips are crafted from a wide range of materials, including stainless steels such as 304, 316, 321, and 317L, as well as specialty alloys like 31803 (Duplex), Monel, Titanium (Ti), Inconel, and others, ensuring that they can withstand the harsh conditions and corrosive environments found in industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, and pharmaceuticals.
