VERMICULATED FIBERGLASS PACKING
Description
SunPass SEALING Vermiculated Fiberglass Packing 3300SV&3200RVassists in enhancing abrasion resistance and stiffness. The fiberglass rope is made of continuous filament texturized C or E glass yarns and is extremely strong, resilient, and flexible. The rope consists of a fiberglass yarn core with a fiberglass braided jacket to form an exact diameter for controlled compression seals. Fiberglass rope is manufactured in both dense and soft. It can be round or square depending on the customer's need. Testing has confirmed that VERMICULITE has a service temperature of 1500°F, compared to a service temperature of 1000°F for standard 2025/9383 (E-Glass). At temperatures in excess of 1000°F, the VERMICULITE finish insulates the glass and while the material will become brittle, the VERMICULITE will not melt or shrink at temperatures up to 1800°F and will continue to perform as an effective flame/heat barrier. Even under direct flame, these fabrics are odorless and virtually smokeless.
Application
Its application field is mainly concentrated in industrial sealing. It is often used in pipelines and equipment in industries such as chemical industry, oil, and natural gas. Because of its characteristics such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high pressure resistance, it can effectively prevent the leakage of the media and ensure the safe operation of equipment and systems.
